I got this book for someone I read to who likes dog stories, but I was surprised at how it affected me as not just a good story, but a lifestyle changing one in my own life! I actually made the decision to go on a plant based diet as Eric did. I flew to see his Dr. Pretti from NC to CA and am under her care now as my nutritionist. I can do this by phone now and am pleased with the results. Great book, great doctor! You’ll love the story.

This is an inspirational book, written from the heart. I saw the author on a tv show and immediately went on Amazon.com and ordered the book. I read it in a day. I found the book very easy to read and quite motivational. I loved the author’s relationship with his rescue dog, Peety. The fact that he was motivated to walk Peety actually saved his life. I love the fact that he rescued Peety, and Peety rescued him. I hope this inspires people to adopt dogs from the shelter.

I had just turned on the tv when Eric was being interviewed about his book. I was pulled in by his passion for his dog and life changes. I had missed most of the interview, but looked up the book. It hooked me in and introduced the idea of vegan eating and culture. I would not have given it 2 seconds of my time otherwise.
